Individuals aged 70½ or older may direct funds from their IRA retirement account. The donation counts toward the required minimum distribution and may not be included in adjusted gross income. Individuals may transfer several years’ worth of giving to donor advised funds to maximize the tax benefits of charitable giving in 2022 but disperse funds over time.
